Ashley Fiolek (Lady Rider)


     Ashley Fiolek (born October 22, 1990) is a pioneering American athlete who redefined what was possible in motocross. As the first culturally deaf professional racer to win a national title, she became an icon for both the deaf community and women in extreme sports. Local racer Ashley Fiolek is a role model. She is a four-time AMA Women's Motocross National Champion (2008, 2009, 2011, 2012). Fiolek won two consecutive X Games gold medals in Women's Moto X (2009, 2010), making her the first deaf athlete to medal at the event. In 2009, she became the first woman signed to the American Honda factory racing team. She was the first female racer featured on the cover of TransWorld Motocross and has been profiled in Vogue and Sports Illustrated.
